Frequently Asked Questions

What do I do following an accident?

Stay calm. If there are injuries, call 911. Keep the vehicle where it is, unless it is in a dangerous or concerning location. Safety should be your first concern. Call the police and report the accident. Try to obtain the name, license, and cell number of any witnesses.

Stay in your vehicle until the police arrive, especially if the other party appears agitated. When you can do so, obtain the other driver’s name, insurance company, license plate number, and driver’s license number. You may be unable to get the other driver’s info, until the police report is released.

Do not claim responsibility for the accident, when talking with the other driver. Let your insurance company investigate and help you determine who is responsible. Use your phone or a camera to take photos of the accident and any adjoining streets, traffic lights or signs.

Call your insurance company, and contact Premium Collision Center at (626) 775-2200. We can send a tow for your vehicle if one is needed. We will assess any damage, quote you, take photos, and submit the claim to your insurance company. We have a free five-mile shuttle service and rental cars available.

How do I choose the best body shop?

You have consumer rights at the scene of an accident. You have a right to have your vehicle towed to a self designated location for repairs. Premium Collision will provide towing for you and will work with your insurance company to process the claim and get your vehicle repaired as quickly as possible. Call us at (626) 775-2200.

What are my rights at the scene of an accident?

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Curabitur dignissim neque metus, non porttitor purus cursus non. In hac habitasse platea dictumst. Duis faucibus lacus sed nulla congue congue. Morbi a ligula lobortis, maximus orci in, egestas dui. Duis fringilla ut nunc vitae vulputate.

What do I expect during the body shop repair process?

Your vehicle can be driven in or towed to the body shop. A trained estimator will thoroughly examine the vehicle for any mechanical and structural damage. All damaged parts will be disassembled and removed from the vehicle, and it will be investigated for any structural damage. Parts will be ordered, the repair will be scheduled, and a pick up date will be given. The claim will be given with the estimate to your insurance company, and the insurance company will be directly billed. The deductible and any non-covered fees will be due at the time of pickup.

How do I understand this estimate?

The estimate will include the inspection and description of the determined work. The estimate will list the fees that are the insurance company’s responsibility, and it will separately list the fees that are your responsibility. The thoroughness of the appraisal must be considered when comparing estimates. Premium Collision includes all of the fees and the final cost on the estimate. There are no hidden or unexpected fees because we give a thorough estimate that follows a complete inspection of the vehicle.

How do I get information on my deductible?

If your vehicle, another vehicle or an object sustains damage related to a covered comprehensive peril, your photo policy will indicate the deductible. Theft, malicious mischief, fire, hail, and a windstorm are examples of peril. It's important to review your policy's information form for accuracy before and after a loss. Your automobile policy will indicate applicable deductibles on declaration pages. The deductible will be due upon picking up the vehicle after the vehicle is restored. Premium Collision will accept major credit cards for payment of the deductible.

What is a quality repair?

Pasadena quality repair is based on a comprehensive inspection. A quality repair meets the vehicle’s and manufacturer’s standards. The repair will be completed by I-CAR and ASA-certified technicians who have been trained in the latest technology and use only high-quality parts. A quality repair will include a thorough interior and exterior inspection, a test drive, and a vehicle detail. This will ensure that you receive a vehicle that meets the highest standards and is in pre-accident condition. Premium Collision is a dealer-certified body shop, and we provide quality repairs.

How do I understand my warranty?

The fine print on the warranty will explain if it is available nationwide and the length of time that the vehicle is covered. If a vehicle is still under its manufacturer’s warranty, it does not have to be repaired at a dealership. The warranty is connected to the manufacturer, not to the vehicle’s dealership. Choose a collision repair facility that provides a warranty on the bodywork that they complete. Premium Collision provides a warranty.

What if my car is damaged in a storm?

Call your insurance agent to report the damage. Take photos of the vehicle, any damaged branches, water damage, and any other elements. Do not drive the vehicle if it has been submerged in water. The mechanical and electrical elements may be damaged. Beware of any unstable body shop operators who are looking to make some quick money off of your situation. You can have your vehicle towed or driven to Premium Collision in Pasadena for an inspection and estimate.
